Typography must completely ignore horizontal baselines. Treat words as physical objects that have been thrown onto the page. The grid is dead. A single spot color (red) highlights extreme violence, speed, or noise.

A neat, orderly paragraph with left alignment and standard line height is the enemy of Futurism. The style, spearheaded by Marinetti, was about destroying syntax, destroying the grid, and turning typography into a visual representation of the noise and chaos of modern war and machinery.
