Brand Guidelines

Typography is not a label applied over an image; typography *is* the image. It must be set as massive as possible, tightly kerned, locking into the grid. Photographs must be violently cropped to create abstract, asymmetrical shapes, and heavily tinted to unify the color palette.

What breaks it

A full-color, un-cropped, softly faded photograph with small, delicate script typography centered neatly at the top. This entirely destroys the bold, structural, rhythmic tension of the Blue Note aesthetic.
